High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Announces Recruitment for District Cadre Driver Grade-II Posts.

The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, through its Chief Justice’s Secretariat, has issued Advertisement Notification No. 03 of 2025 for the recruitment of Driver Grade-II posts across various district cadres within the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Eligible candidates are invited to apply online for these positions under Pay Level-2 (₹19,900–63,200).

Eligibility Criteria

Domicile Requirement

Applicants must be domiciled in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid domicile certificate issued under SO 166 of 2020.

Age Limit (as of Jan 1, 2025)

  • Open Merit (OM): 40 years
  • SC: 43 years
  • Government/Contractual Employees: 40 years

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum qualification: Matric (10th class pass)
  • A valid LMV/HMV driving license is mandatory

Application Fee

  • ₹400 for all categories (payable online only)

Selection Process

  1. Driving Test (Qualifying in nature)
    All applicants must pass this test to be eligible for the next stage.

  2. Written Test (CBT/OMR based) – 50 marks

    • Duration: 60 minutes
    • 50 multiple-choice questions
    • No negative marking

  3. Interview/Viva-Voce – 10 marks

    Note: Final selection will be based on the combined score of the written test and interview.
